Trade and stream from code.

A REST API, a WebSocket orderbook stream and TypeScript and Python SDKs over the same pods and permissions as the platforms. Traders create a key for each pod they trade, and data-only integrations get read-only keys.

TypeScript SDK order and an AI agent placing the same order through the ParlayX MCP server

From key to first order in a few lines.

The same pods and permissions as the Trading Platform, from your own code.

  1. 1Create a keyGenerate an API key for a pod in the Trading Platform. The private half never leaves your browser.
  2. 2Install an SDKTypeScript or Python, with request signing handled for you.
  3. 3Place an orderEvery order lands in the same pod and record as one placed by hand.
npm install @parlayx/sdk
import { createClient } from "@parlayx/sdk";

const client = createClient({
  keyId: process.env.PARLAYX_KEY_ID!,
  privateKeyHex: process.env.PARLAYX_PRIVATE_KEY_HEX!,
});

const { orderId } = await client.kalshi.submitOrder({
  ticker: "KXNFLGAME-26OCT19BUFKC-KC",
  side: "BID",
  count: "500",
  price: "0.62",
  timeInForce: { type: "GTC" },
});

Every book, one connection.

Subscribe to any market and get its order book from every venue over a single WebSocket, in one normalized shape, with venue status in the same stream.

A key for every job.

Each key does one job, so code can only reach what you give it.

  • Trade keyPlaces and cancels orders in one pod, and reads its balance and positions.
  • Data keyRead-only: market discovery and the orderbook stream, with no access to orders or capital.

Built for agents.

The ParlayX MCP server gives an AI agent markets, positions and balances under the same per-pod keys as a trader. Trading tools stay off until you turn them on.

Questions, answered.

Which languages have an SDK?

TypeScript and Python. Anything else can call the REST API and WebSocket stream directly.

What is the difference between a trade key and a data key?

A trade key places and cancels orders in its pod and reads its balance and positions. A data key can only discover markets and subscribe to the orderbook stream.

Where is the reference?

Everything is documented at docs.parlayx.com, including authentication, rate limits and both SDKs.
